It was emphasized at the Committee´s meeting, that the purpose of the Bill (Reg. No. 2372) is "creation of favorable conditions for the organization and carrying out of the Final Tournament of the European Football Championship in Ukraine in Year 2012". For that it is anticipated that receipts (profits) received in Ukraine by the UEFA will be freed from corporate profit taxes, also income received from import of goods (capital) by representative office of Organizing Committee of UEFA in Ukraine will be exempt from taxes. It has been also proposed to set free from taxation amounts of income received for the works done or services provided in Ukraine or abroad by appointed (authorized) persons, except for Ukraine rezidents, irrespective of their participation in the Championships.
The Committee Members have emphasized that the Bill was elaborated without taking into account the fact that the Final Tournament of the European Football Championship in Year 2012 will take place not only in Ukraine, but also in Poland. Therefore the Committee regards as necessary "to coordinate with Poland an introduction of special conditions of taxation in the period of holding of the final tournament of mentioned championships". Toward this end, in People´s Deputies opinion, it would be advisable to elaborate and sign an appropriate treaty between Ukraine and Poland and to ratify such a treaty in these countries´ parliaments.
